Propmaking Help Tools by Dean Newbury ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contents of Zipfile : 1. This Textfile 2. Color Table 1 3. Color Table 2 4. Various Scale Ruler Props 5. RES File Containing Help Props 6. Short Film ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The props contained within this package were designed to help in the propmaking process. The 'color tables' contain all of the colors available within Stunt Island. Use them to match colors on the Island and with other props. The 'rulers' are the same prop but at different SCALEs. Use them side by side with props on the Island to better determine what SCALE your props should be set at. I included only one actual 'ruler' prop in Editor format. There are several in the RES file. The 'rulers' are built with different colored lines representing different measurements. Black lines are 1,000's. Red lines are 500's. Blue lines are 250's and 750's. Green lines are 125's, 375's, 625's, and 875's. The RES file contains the two 'tables' and all of the 'rulers.' The RES file has an index number of 66. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I created a short film showing what happens to certain colors within the color tables when the time of day is changed on the Island. Most colors on both tables simply become a darker shade of themselves. However, on table 2, which is featured in the film, you will notice a number of changes. The first change you'll notice before the time of day changes. Some of the colors that are available within the Editor do not show up as they appear in the Editor. These colors appear in shades of gray. For some reason we cannot use these colors unless you want to use them in their gray form. The second change you'll notice is that some of the gray blocks take on a color only after night falls on the Island. I can envision using these colors for lights on a car or for some other application where turning on a light at night would be appropriate. Third, you will notice the colors that are used in the sky of Stunt Island. They start off as blue shades and end up as shades of purple. There is also a yellow square at the bottom of the second row of blue that is the color used for the sun. It does not change as the sky darkens. Finally, there are a number of colors that do not change at all as the sun goes down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (c)2001 - Fanboy Productions
