When you're going to have company over, what better way to wow them than with a perfect Peeps dish?

Peppers and Peeps Stir Fry

Ingredients:
2 tsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. dry sherry
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. cornstarch
12 oz. Peeps Chicks and/or Bunnies
3 1/2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 large green pepper, cut into strips
1/2 cup sliced bamboo shoots (optional)

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch, sherry, water, and a dash of white pepper
  2. Add Peeps and toss to coat
  3. Stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons of the oil and let stand 15 minutes
  4. Prepare cooking sauce by mixing together, then set aside
  5. Place a wok or frying pan over high heat
  6. When pan is hot, add 2 tbsp. of the oil
  7. As oil heats, add garlic and stir once
  8. Add green peppers and stir fry until crisp-tender
  9. Add remaining oil to pan, add Peeps and bamboo shoots if desired
  10. Stir fry for 1 1/2 minutes or until Peeps are tender
  11. Stir cooking sauce and add to pan
  12. Cook until sauce bubbles and thickens
  13. Remove from heat and serve over rice
Cooking Sauce:
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. dry sherry
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Stir fry makes a delicious and filling meal, one sure to be enjoyed by all.  Using Peeps in Oriental cooking is relatively new territory, but it's sure to take off soon. For an added kick to your Asian dishes, mix up some Peeps and Sour Sauce on the side:

Peeps and Sour Sauce

Ingredients:
3-4 Peeps Bunnies
1 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. chili sauce
Dash ground red pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
  1. Dice Peeps into 1/4 inch chunks
  2. Mix all other ingredients in a saucepan and place over medium heat
  3. As sauce gets hot, stir in Peeps
  4. Cook, stirring, until sauce bubbles and thickens
